Burlap and Lace. Rustic and romance are two words that pop into my mind right away when I see these two materials paired together. We used the burlap and lace combination for several projects to decorate for my daughter, Shayla’s, wedding. Check out some of the pictures we snapped leading up to her special day!
This burlap banner can be used again after the reception as a mantelpiece in the newly wed couple’s home.
Table swag on the head table for the reception. The burlap really brings the space together with the mason jars and backdrop made from palettes.
Awe!!! Mason jars decorated with various burlap and lace designs were placed on each guest table for one-of-a-kind center pieces. No two jars were alike!
More mason jar covers. A little hot glue on each sleeve attached the decorations to the glass jars. The glue held perfectly throughout the event but was easy to clean off so we could reuse the jars for canning.
Shayla’ sisters put a lot of work into these simple table decorations. We started with jars of all sizes and added various laces, burlap flowers, twine, buttons, bowes, and ribbons. They turned out so pretty!
Some of the finished mason jars all ready to go. A few got tea lights inserted into them for a great wedding reception ambiance. We clustered 3 or 4 decorated jars on each individual guest table for a unique center piece.
The theme of the reception was rustic romance. I think we pulled it off with a few simple decorations and pulled the look together with a few burlap and lace combinations.
