Want a quick, easy Spirit Gift for your daughter’s cheer or dance squad as they head off to their state competition? Super cool Spirit Gift Baggies are just the thing you need!
I think it’s a nice touch to give a little boost to the Cheerleading, Pom Poms, or Dance team with little goodie bags to send them off.
The spirit squads (or cheerleaders as we call them in our school) always do so much to boost school spirit and pep up the crowd. And let’s be honest, these kids have spent months and countless hours perfecting their routine for this event. If your cheerleader is involved in a lot of other activities like mine are, (and I think they probably are,) they do all of this while still cheering at all the team sport games, making posters, participating in all the school club and organization events, and keeping up with homework. It’s completely exhausting but they do it with style and pep.
A little bit of spirit-boosting love sent their way might just be what the team needs to know that what they do is important for the school, sport teams, and community.
Here is what I did for my two daughters’ dance team and how I kept it cheap and easy.
Items I Used For This Project:
◊White Paper Lunch Bags◊
◊ Curling Ribbon◊
◊Gift Tinsel or Shredded Paper◊
I bought a few cheap nail polishes in all different colors and tied on a printed “Nail The Competition” label with some curling ribbon. Not only does it make a cute little “pep talk” statement, but I thought it would be a fun bonding activity the night before competition for the girls.
Who doesn’t love cute, comfy socks? After a full day’s worth of school, basketball games, and traveling, the girls can all put on their new comfy socks to hang out at the hotel together. Print off the FREE labels I included for you at the bottom of this post and tie them to the socks.
Along with the nail polish and socks, I added a snack sized bag of popcorn, sucker and fruit snacks to the bag. The girls can enjoy a late night snack while they rest up for the big day ahead of them at competition.
I punched two holes at the top of the folded over bag and tied it together with some curling ribbon. This project took me a little under a couple of hours to complete 10 bags. I figured that kept the cost relatively low and spent less than $5/bag. Not bad for a completely awesome treat!
You can be the cool “Spirit Mom” and give the squad an awesome spirit goodie bag. The girls will love it!
BONUS: I’ve included some FREE Printable Labels for you to use!
