An Autumn Wonderland is what I think of this picturesque backyard.
A friend of mine recently posted a couple of pictures of her vine covered trellis on a social media site.
I wish this fall-loving landscape was in my own backyard!
I immediately contacted her and asked if I could use her colorful yard for a photoshoot. She generously invited us over and told us to make ourselves at home.
I had been searching for a perfect backdrop for a photoshoot and if her post was anything to go by, this was the place I was looking for.
My daughters and I rushed over to capture some great pictures to add to our portfolio before the winter weather hit and the leaves began to drop.
We immediately felt a sense of awe as we drove up the long, tree-lined driveway. The horses were frolicking in the pole-fence paddock and looked to be enjoying themselves in the late afternoon sun.
The sound of children laughing in the background while they played nearby, the warm early-Autmn afternoon sun shining on us, the horses in the pasture, and the crisp apples growing in the orchard all lent a hand in setting a perfect Autumn scene for us. We were even welcomed by the friendly black cat!
Bright colors of reds, golds, oranges, yellows, and greens were splashed all over the yard with different types of bushes, grasses, trees, vines, etc. We couldn’t have found a better place to take senior pictures! It was perfect!
The weather cooperated and we got some great nature shots as well as some beautiful senior pictures of my daughter, Courtney. But, most of all, we enjoyed ourselves and had a great day on the farm.
And to my dear friend, Val, that owns this perfect peaceful farmstead,
Your amazingly long and beautiful vine-covered trellis is what drew us in, but we fell in love with the whole farm!
Thank you so much for joining us on the front porch even though you were busy trying to get a meal prepared for your harvest crew.
We love your home and your hospitality was very much appreciated. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. We are hoping we can come back in a couple of years for the next photoshoot when Jolene is a senior!
p.s. Here are some more fun photos we took while playing in the leaves. These pictures might not get used in Courtney’s senior picture portfolio, but they are some of our favorite memories from this day! xoxo
